Relationship breakdown, separation & divorce support

For the uncertainty, overwhelm and practical decisions that seem impossible

How do I tell the kids? Can I actually afford to stay in the house? How am I supposed to deal with my ex? Is this ever going to end?

You Don’t Have to Have it Figured Out Yet…

Maybe you already know the relationship is over. Maybe you're not sure yet, and that uncertainty is its own kind of exhausting.

Either way, you may still be going to work, getting the children to school and holding everything together on the outside — while inside, your head won't stop.

Family mediation helps with decisions that need to be made together. Legal advice helps you understand your legal position.

This is different.

It's a space for you to think, process what is happening and work out what you want to do next, without having to manage anyone else's feelings about it.

So the decisions you make can come from greater clarity, rather than panic, pressure or exhaustion.

This may be for you if you are thinking

  • "I don't know how to tell the children, or when."

  • "I don't know if I can afford to keep the house, and I'm scared to find out."

  • "We can't have a conversation without it turning into a fight."

  • "I said I wanted this, so why do I feel like this?"

  • "I've been through the legal process, but I still don't feel okay."

  • "I can't seem to make a decision about anything right now."

  • "I just need to talk to someone who isn't my mum, my best friend or my solicitor."

You don't need to be at any particular stage. I work with people who are considering separation, in the middle of it, going through divorce or trying to find their feet afterwards.

How it Works…

We start with a free, no-pressure 15-minute call. It's simply a chance to tell me a little about what's happening and decide whether this feels like the right support for you.

From there, we focus on what you actually need.

That might mean preparing for a difficult conversation or solicitor meeting, thinking about how to tell the children, working through a decision, managing communication with your ex, coping with overwhelm or beginning to work out what you want life to look like next.

Some people come for a few sessions around something specific. Others value having consistent support as they move through the process.

My training as a Divorce Coach and Level 6 Yoga Therapist means our work can include both practical coaching and simple tools to help you manage stress and overwhelm.

I'm not here to tell you what to do. My role is to help you slow things down, understand your options and make decisions that feel like your own.

FAQ’s

Does this replace a solicitor?

This work supports the practical, emotional and decision-making side of separation and divorce, and sits alongside independent legal advice.

Is this therapy?

No. Although my therapeutic training informs how I work, this support is focused on helping you navigate what's happening now and move forward. If therapeutic support would be more appropriate, we can talk about that.

Is this the same as family mediation?

No. Family mediation involves both people working with an impartial mediator to explore practical arrangements. This is one-to-one and focused entirely on supporting you.

What if I'm not sure I want to separate?

That's absolutely fine. You don't need to have made a decision before getting support. Sometimes having somewhere neutral to think is exactly what's needed.

How many sessions will I need?

There's no set programme. Some people want three or four sessions around a particular issue or period; others choose support over a longer part of their separation. We can decide what makes sense for you as we go.

There is light at the end of the tunnel….

Right now, separation or divorce might feel like the only thing that exists. It won't always feel this way.

This process isn't only about getting through what is happening now. It's also about gradually working out what you want to take with you, what you're ready to leave behind and what you want your life to look like next.
