For data protection purposes, I am the data controller for personal information collected through this website and in connection with my services.

If you have any questions about your information or this policy, you can contact me at:

  • technical information about how you use this website.

Because of the nature of my work, you may also choose to share sensitive information about yourself, such as information about your physical or mental health, disability or other personal circumstances.

I only collect and use information that is relevant to providing my services or responding to your enquiry.

Why I use your information

I may use your personal information to:

  • respond to enquiries;

  • assess whether I am able to provide an appropriate service;

  • arrange and provide mediation or relationship breakdown support;

  • communicate with you about appointments and services;

  • administer payments and maintain appropriate business records;

  • meet my professional, regulatory and legal obligations; and

  • maintain and improve the security and operation of this website.

My lawful basis for using your information will depend upon why it is being used. This may include taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, performing a contract with you, complying with a legal obligation, or pursuing legitimate interests in operating and protecting my professional practice.

Where I need to process special category information, such as information concerning your health, I will only do so where an additional lawful condition for processing that information applies.

Mediation and information about other people

Mediation often involves information about more than one person.

If you provide information about your spouse, former partner, children or another person, I will handle that information appropriately and only use it where relevant to the mediation process or my professional obligations.

The confidentiality and information-sharing arrangements that apply specifically to mediation will also be explained as part of the mediation process.

How your information is stored

Client and enquiry information is primarily stored electronically using secure Google Workspace and Google Drive services.

I take reasonable organisational and technical measures to protect personal information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse or disclosure.

Payments

Payments may be made by bank transfer or through Stripe.

Where Stripe processes a payment, it processes certain information in accordance with its own privacy and security arrangements. I do not receive or store your full payment card details.

Who I may share information with

I do not sell your personal information.

Where necessary, information may be shared with trusted service providers who help me operate my practice, such as providers of email, secure document storage, website hosting and payment processing.

Information may also be disclosed where required by law, where necessary to comply with professional or regulatory obligations, or where there is another lawful reason to do so.

This website uses cookies and may use analytics tools to help me understand how visitors use the website.

Non-essential cookies and analytics technologies are managed through the website's cookie consent controls. You can accept, decline or manage your cookie preferences.

I will only send you marketing emails or updates where you have chosen to receive them.

You can unsubscribe from these communications at any time.

How long I keep information

I keep personal information only for as long as it is reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected and to meet any applicable professional, regulatory, insurance, accounting or legal requirements.

Different types of records may therefore be kept for different periods.

When information is no longer required, it will be securely deleted or disposed of.
